Last updated: draft, pending legal review.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), PropFirm-Tax-India acts as a Data Fiduciary processing your personal data — including financial and, where you upload identity-adjacent documents, potentially sensitive personal data — for the purpose of preparing tax-relevant computations from your prop-firm trading income.
By creating an account, you consent to our processing of the data described in our Privacy Policy for that purpose. This consent is not indefinite or irrevocable — the DPDP Act gives you specific, exercisable rights, and this platform enforces them technically, not only as a written policy.
| Right | How to exercise it |
|---|---|
| Withdraw consent | Account settings → Privacy |
| Access / export your data | Account settings → Privacy |
| Request erasure | Account settings → Privacy |
Your account is flagged for compliance review. We may be unable to continue preparing new tax-relevant computations for you until consent is re-granted, but data already processed remains subject to the retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
Your account is deactivated immediately (soft-deleted) and your active sessions are revoked. Retention then happens in two automated, scheduled stages: your directly-identifying profile details are anonymized after 8 years, and your invoice/tax records (by then no longer linked to identifying profile data) are permanently and irreversibly purged after 16 years.
Under Section 13 of the DPDP Act, every Data Fiduciary must provide a way to raise concerns about how your data is processed.
We aim to acknowledge a grievance within 7 days and resolve it within 30 days, in line with the Data Protection Board's expected timelines. If you believe a personal-data breach has occurred, please report it to the same address — breaches are logged internally and, where the DPDP Act requires it, notified to the Data Protection Board and to affected users.
